In their dramatic Australian Fashion Week debut, accessories label Deadly Ponies proved that you don’t need a dress to impress. Like the label itself, the show pushed creative boundaries, taking the crowd on a sensory journey of surprises in a collection that explored “the idea of a utopian paradise.” It was all about the build up and big reveals on this unconventional runway.

Handbags and heavy curtains hung from the ceiling, with music pumping up the momentum. When the curtains dropped, the show came to life. Complete with an upside-down olive tree playing into the designers’ aesthetic, this was an accessories show that commanded the audience’s attention.
