“They enthralled a crowd of 3500”
Two heavyweights of design came together for an intimate talk as part of the “In Conversation’ series at Sydney Opera House’s Recital Hall. Kevin McCloud, the dynamic and popular host of the UK’s cult lifestyle and architecture television show Grand Designs, took to the stage with his friend and modernist architecture buff, Tim Ross.
They enthralled a crowd of 3500 as they reflected on the importance of the Sydney Opera House – “We could spend all evening talking about this building, it’s story, the place, the power that it’s had,” said Kevin – and they discussed both the physical and emotional impact of architecture.
